sessions focused on the skills, tools & resources you need to successfully
navigate the complexities of local government. The Michigan Association of
Mayor’s (MAM) Summer Workshop offers a great mix of peer learning, networking,
and formal programming in an excellent “living laboratory” for local economic
development-Battle Creek, Michigan. Guests are welcome-they are sure to enjoy
their time getting better acquainted with the “Cereal City.”
Thursday, August 6
Noon – 5:00 pm:
Networking lunch and sessions on fostering fantastic council/manager
relationships,economic development strategies for communities of all sizes, and sharing local success stories.
6:00 - 8:00 pm:
Dinner and beer pairing, Arcadia Brewing Company
Friday, August 7
8:00 am – 11:00 am:
Networking breakfast, educational program
on grants & public/private partnerships, and a legislative update including
discussion of the state’s transportation system
