Deadline: Rolling – final deadline September 30, 2023, unless funds are depleted prior to that date. This is a temporary emergency program to help low-income households pay overdue water and wastewater bills. Michigan received emergency funding from Congress to administer this program that is available to low-income homeowners or renters. Funding is administered through Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to Community Action Agencies (CAAs) statewide.

Funded with support from over a dozen philanthropies, the NLC’s Local Infrastructure Hub helps local leaders navigate and understand the large quantities of information from the federal government on the nearly 400 funding opportunities available through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
