Michigan Prosperity Agenda: Entrepreneurs are Key to thriving Michigan Communities


Program Explores How to Make a Better Michigan


The Michigan Prosperity Agenda is a monthly radio show that challenges listeners to help make Michigan a better place to live, work and play by creating vibrant and prosperous local communities. It has aired on News/Talk 760 WJR at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month throughout 2010 and will continue through 2011.

The hour-long radio program is hosted by Dan Gilmartin, CEO of the Michigan Municipal League (the League). The show is sponsored by the League and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). The show’s topics center around the concept of placemaking. Angel Gambino

Angel Gambino has been called a serial entrepreneur with 20 years experience working with innovative media, tech and retail businesses. She founded Nonopoly, a property development company in Corktown that acquires strategic mixed-use properties. She talked about why she chose Michigan after working all over the world.

Leamon Sowell

Leamon Sowell is President and Managing Partner of Sowell Law Partners. Sowell has been influential in handling a wide range of corporate transactions for minority entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs involving acquisitions, mergers and corporate turn-around matters. He discussed his efforts to assist minority and female business owners.
