Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Animal Control
Question:
With the return of warm weather and the bird population,
we are having problems with the birds roosting in the trees in our downtown
area. We do not want to destroy the birds, but would like to encourage
them to roost somewhere else as their current roosting place poses a possible
health hazard and is causing considerable property damage.
Answer:
The United States Department of Agriculture maintains
an office of Animal Damage Control (517-336-1928). Often they can suggest
techniques for controlling wild life. One of their publications deals
specifically with moving roosting sites. Well be pleased to send
you a copy or you may contact them directly at 517-336-1928.
