MML CEO and Executive Director Dan Gilmartin was recently interviewed by the "Bright Side" program on issues surrounding placemaking.
Gilmartin discussed the importance of place as a primary economic development driver. Place is featuerd in the new League publication, "The Economics of Place".
The Bright Side is a new public access and on-line show co-sponsored by the League and developed by the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) intended to tell the stories of the transformative, inspiring work that is happening within our communities. The shows highlight achievements and shares resources, best practices and information about community members, nonprofits and other stakeholders across Michigan.
This is the second show featuring the MML. Recently, the MML sponsored a show to tell the work being done around the state to create a more comprehensive transportation network. Shows are available for viewing on YouTube.
