A series of workshops will be held across the state this September to explore the concepts behind "economic gardening".  The sessions are free to attend.

The workshops, hosted by the Small Business Association of Michigan, MEDC, MSHDA, and Public Policy Associaties will also explore the state's plans for making economic gardening part of the state's overall economic development strategy as well as discuss how local officials can partner with the state to strengthen support for local growth-oriented companies.

Workshop dates and locations are: Sept. 9, Saginaw; Sept. 20, Traverse City; Sept. 21, Lansing; Sept. 28, Southeast Michigan and Sept. 29, Grand Rapids.
