The National Trust for Historic Preservation has announced that Old Town Lansing is a recipient of the 2011 Great American Main Street Award.

The award recognizes Old Town for following the Main Street Four-Point Approach, embracing sound historic preservation ethics and building strategic partnerships.  Last year, Ferndale was named as a recipient. 

The award was presented during the Main Street Awards Ceremony during the National Main Streets Conference in Des Moines, Iowa.
