The City of Grand Rapids will be the host for the Future Cities: Climate Strategies for Sustainable Communities  conference on September 9-10, 2010. Join mayors, city managers and community and private sector leaders in downtown Grand Rapids at Grand Valley State University's Eberhard Center.

The conference is designed to help create sustainable communities. Mayors and elected officials, public works directors, park district directors, planners, developers, architects, landscape architects, builders, school leaders and others interested in seeing how a community can become greener, gather to hear from inspiring speakers, learn from been-there case studies and discuss actionable ways to make communities greener, healthier and more prosperous.

One of the presenters includes the League's Sue Jeffers who will be discussing the "Green Communities Challenge" and the work taking place across the state. View the agenda here
