Creative people living all over Washtenaw County are plugging themselves into a brand new social network and promotional website, www.a3arts.org, which was launched by the Ann Arbor Arts Alliance this month. Professional, semi-professional, and serious amateur fine artists, performing artists, graphic designers, musicians, writers, teachers, venue directors, and other individuals in the county’s creative economy are already beginning to populate the site with their profiles, events announcements, ads, call outs for collaborators and opportunities to participate in creative projects and events, and more. Subscribed users, who create their profile for free, can use the site to network, promote themselves and their services, and keep posted on what everybody else is up to.

Beyond serving as an online tool for the individuals, venues, and organizations who make up Washtenaw County’s creative economy, www.a3arts.org might just end up promoting the entire county as a Mecca for art and culture. The more people join the site, the more visible the county’s high level of talent, diverse programming, and unique cultural offerings will become - for anyone who is curious to find out more about Washtenaw County.
