Mayoral summit on afterschool programs

The League, along with the Michigan After-School Partnership and, Mayors George Heartwell of Grand Rapids and Gary McDowell of Adrian will be hosting a mayoral summit on afterschool programs in conjunction with the League's Capitol Conference in Lansing on Tuesday, April 13.  The summit, to be held just prior to the opening of the Capitol Conference, will focus on the positive impact of afterschool programs on communities. The Summit is made possible with support from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and the National League of Cities Institute for Youth, Education and Families.
