Going green yields green savings

The more I read the more I learn that one of our eight assets of vibrant 21st century communities, "green initatives", is not just for those who believe its the right thing to do for our environment.  No, going green can yield substantial economic dividends as well.  As noted by Coral Springs, Florida Councilman Roy Gold in the most recent issue of "American City and County", such ideas are not simply based on helping the planet, but on economics. As Gold comments, with people looking at the bottom line, we can reduce the use of energy or the waste of water and reduce costs.
