Growing local economies

One of our 21c eight assets is "entrepreneurs" reflecting our belief that we need to start gardening jobs by 1's and 2's right here in our communities.  And Michigan is blessed with one of the foremost organization's dedicated to entrepreneurial growth -- the Edward Lowe Foundation in Cassopolis.  As noted in a recent article from the National League of Cities, Nation Cities Weekly, communities across the country are shifting from the primary goal of attracting new companies to also focusing on growing local assets.  The Edward Lowe Foundation has even developed a new tool to help cities access in-depth information about their business communities.
