Port communities summit

Over the last few months, I have had the opportunity to be involved with the Port Communities Collaborative.  The collaborative is in its fourth year and is an effort to bring together those communities with ports, both recreational and commercial, to discuss a common agenda for furthering economic development, branding and maritime history efforts.  I was impressed with the work that has been done to date, and moving forward the work that needs to be done.  The bottom line is that these communities have a important asset for creating greater regional development and moving our state forward that cannot be ignored.
