JACKSON, Michigan - Join fellow Michigan Municipal League members for an evening of networking and hot topic discussions at one of the most historic and creative places in the state – the Armory Arts Village, 100 Armory Court, Jackson.

The FREE, open-house-style, meet-up event is for League members from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 20. Guided tours of the Armory Arts Village will take place after the meet-up.

The Armory Arts Village was once a former state prison and National Guard Armory. The city repurposed it and transformed it into a live-work space for artists. It is an excellent example of the League’s effort to rebuild Michigan by emphasizing the importance of placemaking. The League believes the state can be restored to prosperity by creating places where people want to live, work, and play. Armory Arts Village, in particular, is an example of distinctive placemaking through physical design, creative redevelopment, and emphasis on the arts.

Please join League members and League staff Jan. 20 at the Arts Village.
