The Northwest Michigan Council of Governments (NWMCOG) is making available grants to local communities in their service region for planning and implementation of energy efficient public buildings. This area includes communities in the counties of Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford.
One community (city, village or township) will be selected on a competitive basis from each county. No cash match is required but eligible units must be able to provide an in-kind effort of 5-10 hours per month.
Applications are due by Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 4:00 pm and can be downloaded by visiting the NWMCOG website at http://www.nwm.org/energynetwork.asp
