Chief elected officials are invited to a mayoral summit on education and workforce preparedness for Michigan's youth, April 13, 10 am - 2 pm in Lansing (followed by the Michigan Municipal League Capital Conference, April 13-14).  Register by April 5>

Local leaders can transform Michigan into a vibrant economic force by preparing the state’s youth to compete in a global economy.
Michigan leaders who have implemented youth-focused systems will lead the Summit and explain the resources available to assist with these programs. The event is also a chance to send a collective message to state leaders about this issue.

The Summit is open to all mayors, village presidents and township supervisors. Commission leaders, staff and community partners are also welcome. The event is made possible by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Michigan Municipal League, Michigan After-School Partnership and National League of Cities Youth, Education and Families Institute.

Arnold Weinfeld is director of strategic initiatives for the Michigan Municipal League. Contact Arnold at 517-908-0304 or by e-mail.
