The Michigan Prosperity Agenda is a monthly radio show that challenges listeners to help make Michigan a better place to live, work and play by creating vibrant and prosperous local communities. It has aired on News/Talk 760 WJR at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month throughout 2010 and will continue through 2011.
The hour-long radio program is hosted by Dan Gilmartin, CEO of the Michigan Municipal League (the League). The show is sponsored by the League and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).

	Dan Gilmartin Dan Gilmartin, executive director and CEO of the Michigan Municipal League. Audio (length: 1:01 minute). Dan explains what this month’s show is all about.
	Co-host Marge Sorge Marge Sorge is executive director of the Detroit Regional News Hub, an organization dedicated to connecting journalists to stories, people and organizations that are transforming Metro Detroit. Marge will talk about a recent gathering in Detroit of journalists from around the world. This event was hosted by the Hub. Audio (length: 7 minutes). Marge talks about showing international media Detroit and explaining what’s happening to change the Detroit region and Michigan’s economic prosperity.
	Jennifer Conlin Jennifer Conlin grew up in Ann Arbor and has been a journalist since 1984. She recently returned to Ann Arbor after living overseas for twenty years. She is a regular contributor to the New York Times and recently wrote a story about the influx of young creative types that are moving to Detroit. Audio (length: 9:54). The national perception of Detroit is as a very challenged city, but after a taking recent tour and writing a related article she believes some perceptions are changing. She saw an incredible buzz and passion from people working to change Detroit’s future.
	Keith Zendler Keith Zendler moved to Detroit from Pleasant Ridge and realized he loved the city. He now lives in the Boston-Edison Historic District and is CEO and Founder of Peoplemovers.com, an online effort to connect community resources. Audio (length: 11:02). Keith discusses how people are impacting their community in what some describe as “Facebook for organizations”.
	Kirsten Ussery Kirsten Ussery is President of the Board of Directors at the Villages Community Development Corporation, a vibrant neighborhood on the Eastside of Detroit. She is also media coordinator for the Office of Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh. Audio (length: 8:54). Kirsten explained her community on the eastside of Detroit has actually grown by 8 percent in recent years. Detroit has so many assets and her organization is working to tie them together.
