Michigan Municipal Attorney Brandon Hubbard Honored by Peers

HOLLAND, Michigan (Sept. 13, 2017)—The Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys (MAMA) has honored municipal attorney Brandon Hubbard with the organization’s Special Award of Merit.

Hubbard is an attorney with the Dickinson Wright law firm doing work for numerous clients, including Grosse Pointe Farms, the Genesee Intermediate School District, the Michigan Association of School Administrators, and the Michigan Association of School Boards. He was honored, in part, for his contributions to Municipal Legal Briefs—a publication of the Michigan Municipal League.

“Brandon has spearheaded the efforts from Dickinson Wright in providing significant and essential summaries of state and federal cases affecting municipal law,” said Sue Jeffers, editor of the Municipal Legal Briefs. “The case summaries which are published quarterly in the Municipal Legal Briefs are vital to the practice of all municipal attorneys across the state. He has done so professionally, timely, and with good humor. It is not possible to overstate how important his contribution has been to the practice and quality of municipal law in the state of Michigan.”

Hubbard earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in 2004 and his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2007. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan; the Ingham County Bar Association; and the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, for which he served as the Commercial Litigation Section Chair.
