Public Invited to 'Save Michigan Cities' Panel in Flint

What: Michigan Municipal League will host the “Save Michigan Cities” interactive panel to discuss the failed funding system for municipalities across the state. This panel will help raise awareness of the financial crisis facing Michigan cities and villages – including Flint. The members of the panel will discuss ideas to address the issue and improve these systems.

The panel will conclude with a question and answer session with the audience.
  
Who: The event will begin with a presentation by the League’s COO Anthony Minghine, followed by a panel discussion, moderated by Detroit Free Press Editorial Page Editor Stephen Henderson, featuring Congressman Dan Kildee, Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman (invited), Ypsilanti Mayor Pro Tem Lois Allen-Richardson, and Michigan Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich.
