Tailgate Event to Unveil Monroe Alleyway Plans on Thursday

MSU-UM Football Game Pre-Tailgate to Kickoff PlacePlans Presentation

What: An open to the public celebration and public unveiling of the HEART of Monroe PlacePlans. The design plans illustrate ways to improve an existing city alleyway to connect key parts of the downtown. The event is just two days before the big match-up between University of Michigan and Michigan State University and attendees are encouraged to wear their Go Blue or Go Green colors.

Who: The City of Monroe, in conjunction with the Michigan Municipal League and Michigan State University, will host a Tailgate Kickoff to unveil the final designs for alleyway plans.

When: Tailgate is 4-6 p.m. and the HEART of Monroe Reveal is 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015.

Where: The Tailgate will be outdoors in the parking lot between the Monroe County Historical Museum and the River Raisin Centre for the Arts. The presentation will immediately follow in the River Raisin Centre for the Arts, 114 S. Monroe St., Monroe, MI 48161.
