Michigan Municipal League Hires Laura Hoppe as Graphic & Web Designer in Ann Arbor Office
Ann Arbor, MI - The Michigan Municipal League is pleased to welcome Laura Hoppe as its new graphic and web designer. Hoppe recently moved to Ann Arbor to join the League’s main office staff and will help guide the look and style of the League’s various publications, websites and communications.
Hoppe comes to the League from the Kalamazoo Public Library, where she was responsible for the concept, design, illustration, photography, layout and production of all print and digital media from 1997 to the present. During her time at the library, Hoppe designed numerous community outreach projects, including author visits, art contests and film festivals. She frequently worked in collaboration with organizations such as the American Civil Liberties Union, Western Michigan University, and the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts. League CEO Dan Gilmartin said he believes Hoppe’s extensive background in graphic design, advertising, marketing and project management will prove invaluable in helping to promote the League’s message and mission.
“We are excited at the opportunity to work with someone of Laura’s exceptional talent and background, and look forward to the new creative vision she will bring to all our print and digital materials, especially The Review, the League’s bimonthly magazine,” said Communications Director Matt Bach.
Hoppe received a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design from Western Michigan University.
