Michigan Municipal League Supports Rick Snyder’s Vision for Cities
Ann Arbor, Mich. (Nov. 3, 2010) -The Michigan Municipal League congratulates Rick Snyder on his election as our state’s 48th governor and pledge to work with the new administration on fulfilling the Governor-elect’s vision for revitalizing Michigan’s urban centers into places of prosperity.
“We are encouraged when we hear our state leaders talk about the importance of Michigan cities when it comes to attracting and retaining our young talent and creating places and jobs where they want to live and work,” said Dan Gilmartin, chief executive officer for the Michigan Municipal League.
In his victory speech Tuesday night, Snyder restated one of his campaign goals to restore Michigan’s central cities.
