Professional Development: Annual events such as the MAM Summer Workshop, Exchange Day and Capitol Reception provide affordable educational and networking opportunities exclusively designed for MAM members. To garner support for legislative goals, members are encouraged to participate in occasional media events hosted by the MAM board.
Networking: MAM offers an informal network of chief officials from communities large and small. Multiply the effectiveness of your membership by joining the MAM listserv, participating in MAM events or becoming a MAM board member.
Awards & Recognition: MAM offers the Advocate of the Year Award to recognize mayors and village presidents for excellence in their profession. The award is presented once a year to a peer-nominated individual who has made outstanding contributions to local government.
Board of Directors: MAM's board of directors provides an opportunity to become further involved in the association's activities including event planning and advocacy efforts.
