Laura Segal, CPCU, ARM, ARe,
Vice President, Program Manager
As Meadowbrook's Program Manager for the Michigan Municipal League Liability and Property Pool, Laura is responsible for coordinating Meadowbrook's activities on behalf of the Pool. She works closely with the Pool Administrator to ensure that Meadowbrook provides creative and efficient services that meet or exceed Pool guidelines. She began her insurance career working as a broker to Lloyd’s of London. In 1990, Laura joined Meadowbrook’s reinsurance brokerage division, Meadowbrook Intermediaries. In this position, she was responsible for all aspects of reinsurance placement of public entities, professional trade associations, and captives. Laura possesses a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan and an MBA in International Management. She currently holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations.
Judy Thomson-Torosian, CPCU, ARM, CIC,
Municipal Service and Sales Manager
As Meadowbrook’s Municipal Service and Sales Manager for the Michigan Municipal League insurance programs, Judy is responsible for overseeing the work provided by Meadowbrook’s Municipal Account Executive service team. Also, Judy is responsible for service to Members in Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties. Judy joined the Public Entity Division of Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. in 1998. Her insurance career includes more than 21 years of service with Alexsis, Inc., which began in 1976. Judy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Siena Heights College and a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. She currently holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. She also holds a Resident Agent's license from the State of Michigan with qualifications in Accident and Health, Life, and Multiple Lines P & C. Judy and her husband John have three children, and four grandchildren.
Dale A. Eaman, Municipal Account Executive
Dale began her insurance career in the independent agency system. She joined Alexsis, a Third Party Administrator, as an Account Executive in 1986. Dale has 25 years of Account Executive -TPA experience; working with client’s to address their insurance and risk management needs. She has many years of experience working with pool programs and municipal accounts. Dale joined Meadowbrook’s Municipal Account Executive service team in April of 2011 and is responsible for service to Members in Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Kent, Montcalm and Shiawassee Counties. Dale’s certifications include Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI). She is licensed in Michigan as a Resident Counselor, and Resident Producer in Accident & Health, Casualty, Life, and Property. Dale and her husband Patrick have four children and eight grandsons, and live in Wyoming, MI.
Connie M. Monson, Municipal Account Executive
Connie began her insurance career in 1985 with CNA Insurance Company. She joined Meadowbrook in 1989 as a Michigan Municipal League Liability and Property Underwriter and Training Coordinator. In 1999, Connie accepted the position of Municipal Account Executive in Northern Michigan, which enabled her to share her experience with municipal administrators. She is currently servicing 31 counties from her office in Traverse City. Connie received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Central Michigan University. She also holds a Resident Agent's license from the State of Michigan with qualifications in Accident and Health, Life, and Multiple Lines P & C. She is currently pursuing the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) professional designation.
Jim Newman, Municipal Account Executive
Jim began his insurance career in 2001 when he opened his own insurance agency in St Johns, MI. He feels that the greatest aspect of being an Insurance Agent is the opportunity to help others to better understand the complexities and many benefits of insurance. Jim starts each new endeavor and every day with the objective of striving to gain something positive from each person that he meets. Jim currently holds a Resident Agent’s insurance license with qualifications in Multiple Lines Property and Casualty, Life, and Accident and Health. Jim has earned the designation of Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and is pursuing the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation. Jim and his wife Angie have four children, two boys and two girls, and reside in Calhoun County.
Brian M. Steckroth, Municipal Account Executive
Brian began his insurance career in 1988 with CNA Insurance Company. He joined Meadowbrook Insurance Group in 1997 and became part of the dedicated service team for the Michigan Municipal League Liability and Property Pool in 1999. He has a Bachelor of Science from Detroit College of Business and is currently pursing the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He also holds a Resident Agent's license from the State of Michigan with qualifications in Accident and Health, Life, and Multiple Lines P & C. Brian uses his experience to provide service to Pool and Fund Members in Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, St. Clair, Lapeer, Ingham, Livingston, Lenawee, and Monroe Counties.
