Eligibility:

All Michigan Municipal League members. Those members participating in the MML Employee Benefits Services program can have their group life billed on the same invoice as their Blue Cross & Blue Shield.

Highlights:

Guaranteed issue without evidence of insurability. Employers with less than 10 employees may purchase up to $35,000 of coverage per employee. Employers with 10 or more employees may purchase up to $50,000 of coverage per employee. Minimum participation requirements apply.

Total Disability Benefit (Waiver of Premium) is provided for employees up to 60 years of age.

Accelerated death benefits are available for employees covered under most FDL group term life insurance contracts. The employer must apply for this coverage, but there is no additional charge to add the benefit. Employees covered for at least $25,000; are under 65 years old and are not expected to live beyond 9 months can take advantage of this benefit.
