Flexible Benefit ProgramMML Employee Benefits Services officially launched its newest service for its membership at the 1997 Muskegon convention. The program will utilize the services of Kapnick Insurance Group of Ann Arbor. Kapnick Insurance Group will offer Implementation and Administrative Services to Michigan Municipal League members who are interested in establishing a Section 125 Flexible Benefit Plan. The Flexible Benefit Plan will include a Medical Care Reimbursement Account, Dependent Care Reimbursement Account and Premium Conversion Account. Such accounts enable employees to use pre-tax dollars, rather than after-tax dollar, to pay for medical, dental and vision care expenses, as well as deductibles and co-pays, which are not covered by an insurance plan. Employment-related child-care expenses are also eligible for pre-tax treatment. Implementation Services will include the following:
