Congratulations to the city of Monroe for winning the Region 1 Community Excellence Award nomination! In case you missed it, we learned about the value multiculturalism can have on a community. Go here for a press release about the city of Monroe winning the Region 1 Community Excellence Award (CEA) nomination. Other Region 1 CEA finalists were Howell, Eastpointe, and Garden City. All four communities gave great presentations and it was hard picking just one.

Remember to support Monroe, your Region 1 CEA finalist, at the League’s Annual Convention. Register online for the 2010 Convention starting June 1, 2010. This year’s Convention will be unlike any previous Convention. Thanks again to all those who attended!
