Training/Events Blue Arrows

And the Winner in Region 3 is. . . . The City of Wyoming and T.E.A.M. 21.

Concerned about juvenile crime, obesity, and diabetes, Wyoming’s parks and recreation department, in cooperation with the public school systems, instituted the T.E.A.M. 21 program.  Statistics show that “healthy and fit children become good students, who become good citizens.”

The program is in its fifth year and offers various afterschool activities and a summer program serving at-risk youth.  It currently serves more than 500 youth per day across its ten programming sites.

Congratulations to Wyoming!  They move on to compete against the other six Regions at the League's 2009 Annual Convention in Kalamazoo, September 22-25, 2009.  Don’t miss out—register early (June 1) to come out to vote for your favorite project.  Way to go Wyoming!!!
