Post-Convention Workshops - Extra Education Just for You!

If you’re already planning to join the League on Mackinac Island this October for our Convention you should consider attending some of the extra education workshops we have lined up about getting grants for your community, roles and responsibilities of elected officials, working with the media, and learning to lobby.
The Michigan Municipal League has four “post-Convention” education sessions scheduled to take place from 1-4 pm Friday, Oct. 5, following our Convention at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Also, you don’t have to attend Convention to sign up for one of these post-Convention sessions, which range in cost from $10 to $75 for League members and $10 to $130 for non-League members.

3rd Annual Green Communities Conference

The 3rd Annual Michigan Green Communities Conference will provide local government leaders and their partners an opportunity to learn from their peers and state experts about cutting-edge home-grown sustainability practices that work in Michigan. Sessions will be structured in an interactive format that offers attendees an opportunity to learn from each other's experiences and brainstorm new solutions.
This conference is brought to you in partnership with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Michigan Municipal League, MEDC, the Michigan Townships Association, and the Michigan Association of Counties.

Bidding Begins September 4.
Contribute to the silent auction by bidding or donating an item. This annual event held at the League Convention, this year October 3-5 on Mackinac Island, presents a great opportunity to bring home unique gifts representing communities across Michigan, or you can highlight your community, local businesses, and local talent by donating an item. We will again offer the online feature to our auction process. You will have the option to contribute and bid for donated items online prior to the live silent auction event.
