Description

The City of Tecumseh is seeking an experienced office administrator to serve as its new City Clerk. This is a full-time salaried position with excellent benefits. The City of Tecumseh is a progressive community that prides itself on being innovative, timeless, and inviting. The City Clerk serves as the chief elections officer, maintains official records for the City, and provides support functions for the City Council. The preferred candidate will have an Associates Degree in business, office management, public administration, or a related field and three or more years in a high-level administrative support position. The ideal candidate will have governmental experience and at least one year of supervisor responsibility and certification as a Municipal Clerk is desirable. Outstanding organizational, communication, and personal computer skills are essential. This position requires the appointee to reside within 20-miles of the City of Tecumseh within 1-year of employment.
