House Does NOT Vote on PA 312 Expansion!
Last week, the House adjourned without voting on SB 1072, a bill that would expand PA 312. Thank you to those members who testified in opposition of this legislation or contacted their legislators. Several legislators mentioned they had heard from League members, and at the end of the day the bill was not voted on. The League opposes this bill because it is an expansion and does not include a definition of ability to pay. This bill may be taken up in session today. Contact your legislators and ask them to vote NO on SB 1072 without an ability to pay amendment! MORE>
