The Michigan Deprtament of Transportation recently announced their early summer schedule for training sessions on the planning and design of on-road bicycle facilities. The "Training Wheels" educational course is being targeted towards municipal officials, engineers, planners, DDAs, and other community stakeholders interested in finding out more about adding on-road bicycle facilities in their community. The training sessions will be available in communities around the state, including the Upper Peninsula, during the weeks of May 10, 2010 and June 14,2010. Please see the attached document for schedule and registration details. A nominal registration fee may be charged to cover lunch costs during these events.
