The Michigan Municipal League is about to take its message to the largest radio station in the state – News/Talk 760 WJR. Premiering Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. is “The Michigan Prosperity Agenda”, an hour-long radio show with League CEO Dan Gilmartin as the host. The show is sponsored by the League and the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and is scheduled to air at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of every month in 2010 – right after the Mitch Albom show.  For the first show - Gilmartin and his guest co-host Mary Kramer, editor and publisher of Crain’s Detroit Business, will interview several guests, including Peter Kageyama, founder of the Creative Cities Summit; David Egner, executive director of the New Economy Initiative; Joe Borgstrom of MSHDA; and Sean Mann of Let’s Save Michigan. Wednesday’s show focuses on the importance of place and community. We encourage all our members and friends to tune in on 760 AM. For those unable to listen, you will be able to hear segments of the show at mml.org or letssavemichigan.com and click on “The Prosperity Agenda” radio show. As always, we encourage you to let us know how we’re doing. If you tune in or listen online, we welcome your suggestions about how to improve and topics to cover during future shows.
