You may recall that in 2011, the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration suspended implementation of a rule that would require cities replace their street signs by a certain date.
However, questions still arise especially because a second requirement which does remain in affect. This requirement is that local agencies have until January 22, 2012 to develop a plan for managing their signs.
