Stimulus Deal Reached

By now, you have probably read or heard that Congressional leaders have reached a deal on a $789 billion stimulus plan, a figure less than that initially approved by both the House and Senate.  Of course no one has actually seen the legislation yet, but votes are expected before the end of the week.  Hmmm, deals being cut and no one has seen the actual legislation.  I guess its good to know the workings inside our own state capitol are modeled after something!  As I've said before the "devil will be in the details" so despite all the pronouements about "X" amount for this or that program, stay tuned.  We'll have information for you through this blog and next week's Legislative LINK as to how much is going where.
