The state has now put together its own website on the stimulus. Here, you can find various summaries and overviews as well as the complete inventory of projects that have been received to date; over 16,000 projects amounting to more than $59 billion. One word of caution when searching to see if your projects are on the list, most communities are listed as "City of _______,"; villages by "Village of _____", etc. And no sooner had the President's signature dried on the bill than legislators got to staking out positions to put their own stamp on the funds. Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop has said that he sees all stimulus funding being approved through the regular appropriations process and House Speaker Andy Dillon has established work groups to see where and how he can impact the money. Hold on to your hats.... the state legislature's about to get involved!
