To keep the budget process moving, this afternoon the Senate passed the Michigan Department of Transportation budget in much the same way as it passed from committee.

The bill covered the $84 million shortfall of federal match funds by shifting funds throughout the Department.  Funding for cities and villages through PA 51 was kept at the Governor's recommended level - about a 3% reduction based on actual revenue collections.

The bill is now in the House Appropriations committee.
