This afternoon, the League will testify on the importance of revenue sharing before the Senate General Government Subcommittee of Appropriations. Last week, the same hearing was held on the House side. The committees are taking testimony before the Governor announces the details of his "new program" in place of the current statutory revenue sharing program, which is expected to come out in two weeks. The budget committees are taking testimony on various issues over the coming weeks in preparation for moving the bills, which is expected to start at the end of March or early April.
