This afternoon I testified at the Senate Energy Committee on SB 190, a bill that provides a dispute resolution process with the MPSC for cable complaints. We asked the committee for some amendments, mainly to require providers to put the MPSC's phone number on cable bills and to amend a penalty portion of the bill that is harsh for local units.  I circulated the amendments following committee, and I expect a vote to be taken next week. Hopefully we can make this process easier on our communities by sending complaints to the proper agency (the MPSC) and ensuring that the dispute resolution process is fair for communities.
