The Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government has voted to reduce statutory revenue sharing for next fiscal year by $42 million from the House passed version.  This is approximately a $35 million reduction from current year. 

An amendment offered by Senator Deb Cherry to restore the one percent increase passed by the House was defeated along party lines. 

The bill, HB 5880,now goes before the full Senate Appropriations Committee where a vote is expected as early as this afternoon.
