The Conference Committees on the budget were all cancelled today. The General Government budget (revenue sharing, brownfield/historic money), Transportation budget, and DLEG budget (fire protection grants) were all cancelled today.

Not to worry, though.  The House, Senate, and Governor have indicated that they have come to an agreement on the budget and a press conference is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. today. At that press conference, they will announce the deal and, hopefully, the details of the budget agreement. The budgets are expected to change some from when they passed the House and Senate due to the Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference announcing an additional $500 million dollars expected to be available for the 2011-12 fiscal year.

There are rumors that some of this will go towards revenue sharing and adding back to some of this year's cuts. There are also rumors that some more money will go into the brownfield/historic credit replacement.  We don't know the details yet, though, so stay tuned to this blog and we will report on the details of the deal when it is announced!
