The House and Sente both passed SB 1493.  This bill reduces the minimum seating capacity requirement for a business using a redevelopment liquor license from 50 persons to 25 persons. These are the new Class C liquor licenses which replaced the old DDA licenses, and can be usedc in a city redevelopment project area or development district.  This was requested by a business in Traverse City, and no one could come up with a reason that the number was set t 50. The League supports these redevelopment liquor licenses, and was supportive of this legislation to allow for more businesses to have them.
