PA 312 press conference on Tuesday

On Tuesday December 8, the League will be joined by legislators, local government officials, and members of the business community at a press conference asking legislators to support HB 5325, the PA 312 reform bill.  This bill, introduced by Rep. Haveman (R-Holland), makes common sense changes to PA 312 including a definition of ability to pay and requiring an arbitrator to consider the pay and benefits of other non-public safety bargaining units.  On the agenda to speak are MML Executive Director and CEO Dan Gilmartin, MML President Jeff Jenks, Rep. Haveman and Howell Police Chief George Basar representing the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police.  Don't forget how important it is to let your legislators know how PA 312 is impacting your community!
