The League today announced the members of its 2010 legislative policy committees. These seven groups of community officials and experts will guide the association’s advocacy agenda and public policy efforts. The League has six “issue” committees with up to 30 members (rosters) and a Legislative Governance Committee of 115 members (roster).

The Legislative Governance Committee will focus
on broad legislative direction and proactive policy development. Members will serve renewable 2-year terms effective Jan. 1, 2010.

Issue committee members provide the League’s advocacy staff with expert analysis of new legislation that could impact communities.  Members will serve renewable 1-year terms effective Jan. 1, 2010. Issue committees include: Energy and Technology, Land Use and Economic Development, Municipal Finance, Municipal Services, Transportation Infrastructure and, Water Infrastructure and Environment.
