No voting in the legislature this week

The legislature has session scheduled this week but there will be no voting as talks continue on the budget and other policy workgroups are held.  This summer has been an interesting one.  While not a lot of votes have been taken on the House or Senate floors, legislative committees, work groups and budget meetings have been in full swing in the last few weeks.  This session lull is a calm before the storm that is likely to be September as the budget target meetings wrap up and the full legislature considers the FY 2010 budget before the beginning of the new fiscal year on October 1.
