This morning, there were a set of bills up in the House Appropriations Committee that would have reduced the levels of revenue sharing that counties would be coming back into - to bring them relatively back on track to the reduced level that cities and villages are at currently. Well, as I was listening to testimony, the chief lobbyist for the County Association made the statement that "cities have not been cut in the past five years either." I can hear you all laughing now. Obviously, funding to cities has been reduced every year since 2004 but one. And rest assured, we have been and will continue to clarify such misleading statements to legislators.
