The MML Legal Defense Fund is assisting the effort of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) as it works to file a petition for reconsideration with the Federal Communications Commission in response to its recent Declaratory Ruling setting a "shot clock" for local zoning authorities to make final decisions on applications for wireless facilities. In their announcement, NATOA did not rule out litigation, but believes that working with the FCC is the best course of action at this point in time.  NATOA and the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) are offering seminars this week to discuss the FCC ruling and its implications for local governments.
