Bills that would prohibit minimum staffing requirements by charter or ordinance (SBs 485-492) were approved by the Senate yesterday. They are now heading to the Governor for his expected signature.

This legislation would allow minimum staffing requirements via resolution, allowing those levels to be set during collective bargaining and approved by the local unit's governing body.
