You can drive money straight into your local communities this tax season by “checking the box” on Line 24 of your state income tax form.

When you check the box to donate $5 (or more) to the fund, you will know your money will go to creating affordable housing or neighborhood improvement projects that will make Michigan a better place to live and work.

Donating to the fund means:

  • creating much needed jobs and economic stimulation for Michigan’s cities, towns and villages
  • protecting our communities
  • investing in Michigan’s economic future
  • empowering local communities to become more self-reliant, vibrant and healthier through direct support

If we don’t invest in Michigan, who will? The future of Michigan’s communities depends on us!

Michigan income taxpayers can now voluntarily contribute to the Housing and Community Development Fund.  The fund's purpose is to transform Michigan's economy by improving the quality of life through affordable housing and economic development.  Creating strong communities where families can prosper and businesses can grow will attract and keep our workers and our jobs here in Michigan.  For more information, visit http://livinginmichigan.org/
