LANSING, Michigan - The Michigan Municipal League’s Lansing team was recognized in a comprehensive survey identifying the top lobbying organizations in the state. The 2011 MIRS/EPIC-MRA Insider Survey was sent out to more than 1,000 lobbyists, staff members and legislators and the League was listed among the top lobbying organizations in Michigan.

The MIRS survey identified the Michigan Chamber of Commerce as the association lobbying top dog, followed by the Michigan Education Association and SBAM. The Michigan Municipal League was among a few other association lobbying organizations follow these three. With hundreds of associations in Lansing, just being mentioned in this survey is impressive and shows the growing credibility the League’s outstanding lobbying team has in Lansing. The League's Lansing staff members are Summer Minnick, director of state affairs; Arnold Weinfeld, director of strategic initiatives and federal affairs; Andy Schor, associate director; Samantha Harkins, legislative associate; and Nicole Brown.

This recognition comes on the heels of League lobbyist Samantha Harkins also being honored for her work. Harkins ranked twice in the Inside Michigan Politics Lobbyist Survey earlier this year, read more.
